West Wales Blue Lagoon

Being brought up in Pembrokeshire, near the West Wales Blue Lagoon, I have a strong connection with the area with family still based there and I always try to incorporate Pembrokeshire Slate in my designs where possible.

Pembrokeshire slate is very different to the iconic roofing slate from North Wales, is generally smaller in size and difficult to split cleanly. Tonnes of slate has been extracted from Pembrokeshire over the years and one of the most iconic places where this is evident is the Blue Lagoon.

Now home to the Redbull Cliff Divers annually, the coastline here is simply stunning and breathtaking. We used Pembrokeshire slate recently as stone trophies for the Westest VW Fest.
